Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. U know ive just realized that someone out there in this fractal community out of the kindness of there heart paid for a one month subscription for me and i never even noticed... untill today when i noticed my journal looked different and when deviations came thru they had thumbnails....shit i just thought DA had updated a few things for its members LOL
So unless it was DA`s mistake then i would like to thank that person from the botom of my heart for what they did... God bless u ... I think ill be a little more obsevant in the future, but in my own defense if someone did it they left me no message

I just won a random 1 week subscription myself but didn't really rate the extra features - I surf ad-free anyway due to blocking capabilities of my browser. What I WOULD like is some clever javascript-writer to devise the code required to jump straight to full view - with Maxthon browser, this can then be incorporated into a plugin manager, as in Firefox. I'll probably have to work it out myself though...

If someone was to have purchase you a subscription, you would be notified by e-mail to the e-mail addy you are registered with. You can not purchace a persons subscription anonymously.

LOL Dude, don't be thanking me. Really, membership does have its benefits! I do wish you did have that membership though. Oh, and dA has been handing out free weeks here and there. Kinda to get people hooked on those member benefits. Personally, the biggest benefit is that once a member you can then get a prints account and that is for life. However, prints accounts will soon be available to both members and non-members. Hmmm, dunno, so, feel like posting a text copu of one of your flame files? LOL just kidding.......
