It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Oh my, i cant believe my eyes

... what has happened to APOPHYSIS ??????

In the past to render my images at 3200x2400 :quality 1200 :filter radius 0.4 : oversample 2. .. it was taking my new PC about 1 hour to render an image, and i got used to this! .... Now its not a slow pc either ....im talking dual core 2.8ghz with 2 gigs ram, and Asus super-duper motherboard....

But...... Ive really just started using Zueuks final version of Apo2.02 and my render times have droppped to a staggering 45 seconds

to 1 minute at the same hi-rez.... LOL
WTF is going on????

Have these freaks

optimised the code that much?????

Im not complaining thats for sure

.... Im just interested in other peoples render times and rez that they are using with the latest version of apo....

Although i must say at 3200x2400 sometimes it takes me 5-8 goes to start the apo off because it locksup when i hit the render button

... anything lower than this it never locks?!?!!?!?!?!?!?! ... Any ideas Peter?

Dude, it takes me 20 minutes just to render a teeny pic that's 1024 x 800 with qual set to 500. *WAIL* Not fair.

Then again, my computer sucks big donkey bits, so there you go.
