Most newer electric cars are good for up to 40 miles on their charge and then they switch to a fuel source, either gasoline, ethanol, or (my personal favorite and one that should be absolutely EVERYWHERE by now) hydrogen.
i think that's a Telsa, carbon-fiber body at a fraction of the weight of a typical car and a trunk full of lithium-ion batteries.
Cool looking car and impressive stats. Note the sign doesn't tell you the one major drawback to electric cars right now - their range. If this thing has a powerful enough motor to go 0-60 in four seconds, I bet it won't last an hour until it needs to be recharged.
aparantly electric cars get about 110- 150miles to the gallon & would only cost 60c a gallon to fill... its just a mattter of making more recharge stations along the way...Faster than an petrol engine, zero emissions & totally quiet is what i like
