Honestly, you are one of the top ten fractalists here on dA. Asside from the amazing work you do, you also at times spur me to comment! And this time I have got to say, that is one freakin awsome name for a submission! Really, man, I laughed sooo hard
As to the fractal itself, it is dang good. If I was to make a suggestion on 'doing it different', I'd say, soften the hot spots, and try to eliminate one of them. They do give the sence that behind that stormy cloud there is a sun .
Now, you present you fractals tight to the boarders. I have a few that are that way too. There is a difficulty inherrent in this, and that is that they are hard to frame. For hanging on a wall I mean. How do you view your art being presented on a wall? Placked or in a frameless frame or ??
Wow 1. thank u for the compliment....most appreciated
2. I appreciate the constructive critisism ..... helps everyone become better deviants
3. As for framing ive never thought about it... i just create the art for arts sake .... Im addicted to flames... maybe i should start looking at what u have suggested ...thank again my friend
Yes, it is amazing how many times the issue of critisism has cropped up this week. Honestly, I think it is something that should be taught to kids from the earlyest of ages. Criticle thinking is an important life skill as far as I am concerned. It is how we help one another become better, by giving each other options and opinions we may not have concidered for ourselves.
And I see that you have framed a couple. I like one more than the other. What do you think of framing?
im rather here nor there with the framing of a pic..... its just how i feel at the time of making the flame...... probably tend towards no frame now that i think about it .. LOL
Cool. I find much the same. The flame lets me know if it wants to be framed or not. Of course, when it comes to displaying it on a wall it will need some type of treatment I like doing a simple shadow frame for my fractals I have printed and in my portfolio. Gives room for fingers to hold
We love horses, we love drawing, we love gifts, AND we love Christmas. We're gonna combine all that to make Christmas 2009 on dA a seriously awesome one!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Got some unscannable artwork? Own a camera but no scanner? Here's a guide of things to consider in order to effectively take quality photographs of your work. [A tutorial by `fox-orian]
